Yixing Pottery Course For Beginners

Course features:

• Small classes (12 students max)
• Some personal instruction will be given in class
• Prospective students allowed to sit in the first class in order to decide whether to enrol (registration required for sit-ins)
• Student will learn to make two Yixing pottery pieces (e.g., vases)
• Instructor will (at extra cost) provide materials and tools and arrange to have students' pottery fired

Things you need to bring along:

1. Apron
2. Sharp knife without serrated edges (no bread or steak knives)
3. Sponges
4. Tofu bin
5. Sheet of hard wood or pine wood to cover the table (about 2' × 2')
6. Plastic bag, used newspapers
