  • the first ever Great Sedan Chair Race
  • East Meets West Arts Series
    East Meets West: In Opera
    Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and The Legend
    of the White Snake
  • Korean dances, the Toronto Argonauts cheerleaders,
    moon cakes and other bountiful snakes, talks on
    the Harvest Moon sky, and an opportunity to do
    the Chinese fan dance and the Hawaiian hula dance

  • In the event of rain, Grange Park events will be postponed to Sunday, September 14, 1997, following the same schedule. Should there be rain on both days, all stage performances will be cancelled and the Great Sedan Chair Race will take place at the Banquet on Friday, September 19, 1997.
