Home for the West to Meet the East, The Past to Meet the Future

The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC) is a non-profit, non-political organization with an objective to build a Chinese cultural centre for residents of the Greater Toronto area. With its grand opening on May 2, 1998, the centre is part of a multi-purpose community complex located at the south east corner of Sheppard Avenue East and Progress Avenue in Scarborough.

The CCC consists of two phases: Phase I is the CCC building with an art gallery, computerised resource centre, reading room, boardroom, studios, and classrooms. The second phase includes a 600-seat state-of-the-art theatre and a 8500-square-foot multi-purpose hall for sports and recreational activities, conventions, trade shows, and banquets. The Centre is the largest Chinese cultural centre in North America. Next to it is the Burrows Hall Public Library.

The Chinese Cultural Centre will act as a bridge between the Chinese Canadian community and other communities, so that there is a place to promote the understanding of both the Chinese Culture and traditions, and other cultures and traditions. Through referrals and exchanges, the Centre will help facilitate exciting trading opportunities and strengthen the ties between the Canadian and the Far East markets.

CCC will be closed on February 15, 2010 (Monday) for Ontario's Family Day public holiday. Please make sure to return items borrowed from the Richard Charles Lee Resource Centre in time to avoid fines.

Please be reminded that the entrance at Sheppard and Progress may be locked by mistake during opening hours. If you are coming for a class or event and find the door locked, please proceed to 1081 Progress and enter via one of the doors at the main façade.

To serve you better, CCC has relocated all its offices to the ground floor. Please refer to our updated floor plans.
