The Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCC) and the Toronto Artistic Orchid Association jointly present the “Orchid Show 2007”, to be held on April 14–15 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Chinese Cultural Centre (CCC).
This is the sixth Orchid Show and is one of the most popular events organized by CCC. This year’s show will be held in a 8500-sq.-ft hall and, with more than 10,000 orchids on display, this will be the best orchid show ever in Toronto! Exhibitors include orchid vendors in Ontario, with more than 30 professional and amateur orchid growers.
The show will display many varieties of orchids, including Chinese varieties of orchids in Canada such as cymbidium sinense, cymbidium ensifolium, and cymbidium goeringii. Most of the orchids on display are rarely-seen private collections.
In order to encourage exhibitors and to increase the quality on the display of orchids, awards will be given during the show, and the American Orchid Society (A.O.S.) is one of the judges. Rules and regulations are available on request.
The show also provide complimentary seminars to beginners and an opportunity for the exchange of experiences.
