Terms and Conditions

I declare and warrant that I am:
1. Asian heritage background,
2. Between the ages of 14 and 25 as of Feb.8, 2008,
3. A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant,
4. Permanent residence of Canada,
5. Not under contract for any entertainment related talent,
6. Not a finalist in the Canadian Idol Competition.
I agree to pay a Registration Fee of $10 at the registration for the Chinese Community Audition before being allowed entry to sing/perform at the Chinese Community Audition event
The winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd places) of the Young Asian Canadian Singing Competition's Final Competition must agree to public appearances and to perform at special events as assigned by the Canadian Multicultural Council–Asians in Ontario (the Organizer) for up to 12 months after the Final Competition.
I have read and agree to abide by the rules, regulations, terms and conditions of the Competition as revised from time to time by the Organizer and accept the decision of the Organizer as final and hereby acknowledge that the interests of the Competition shall override those of any Contestant.
I hereby assign irrevocably to the Organizer the entire copyright and all other rights to my audition, performance, and contribution to the Competition. The Organizer shall be entitled to use and exploit and license others to use and exploit such contribution, for the full term of copyright and thereafter insofar as is possible in perpetuity.
The Organizer shall be entitled to:
1. Change, add, or delete any parts of the Competition proceedings and formats.
2. Make and to authorize the making of any recording of my performance separately from or in conjunction with the Competition.
3. Include, or choose not to include, my name, likeness, voice, biographical details, photographs of me and recordings of interviews with me separately from or in conjunction with the Competition in all media and formats.
I acknowledge that no fees, royalties, or other consideration will be payable to me in respect of any broadcast, subsequent rebroadcast or any other use by the Organizer of the Competition in any manner or media format.
The Organizer shall not be liable to me or my legal representative for any loss or damage or injury to me or my property caused by or suffered during or in connection with my taking part in the Competition, including without limitation, as a result of personal injury, invasion of privacy, libel, defamation or infringement of copyright, unless caused by the negligence of the Organizer and recoverable on that ground following judgment of a competent court of final judgment.
The Organizer may assign my services and all other rights in my contribution to and participation in the Competition to any of its associated member organizations and to any other third party.
The Courts of Ontario shall have sole jurisdiction in relation to the terms and conditions of the agreement contained in this registration which shall be interpreted according to the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regards to conflict of laws.
