Toronto Zoo News 2024 March


Not flying south this March Break? We’ve got you covered! The Toronto Zoo invites you to take a trip around the world to say hello to over 3,000 animals from all around the globe. No passports, airport lines or lost luggage here! With over 10km of walking trails, join us in any of our geographical regions spanning from the arctic animals in our Tundra Trek to the tropical species in our African Rainforest. With five tropical pavilions and a newly updated greenhouse to explore there’s plenty to see at your Toronto Zoo’s 50th March Break!

We’ve extended our hours for March Break, open daily from 9:30am to 6:00pm from Saturday, March 9th to Sunday, March 17th.

Join the Zoo’s Horticulture team in celebrating the annual bloom with hand-picked orchids in the newly-updated Greenhouse!

While visiting Orchid Oasis, be sure to enter the in-person attendee exclusive contest! Simply find the QR code among the orchids and submit for your chance to win a Greenhouse prize pack!

Looking to get up close to some of your favourite Toronto Zoo animals? Sign up for the Wild Encounter of your choice which includes a tour in a behind-the-scenes area with Wildlife Care staff who can answer all your questions about the animals in their care!
